This first one (easily found right after obtaining the mask, even), hints at one of our WIP sidequests involving the Zonai. They don't have any collision yet and not all of them have been put down on the map, but they do function with and without the mask on. We've redesigned the stones to fit the whole Sheikah magitech aesthetic- so no more creepy little mouths on them. I've shown off our Gossip Stones before on the ZU discord, but here's an older pic for the forums. Other masks are available through Kilton and a side quest starting at a particular ruined location from the past- including the Mask of Truth: If you show him a certain mask he's been looking for, he'll reward you with Mask Tokens (similar to Kilton's Mon currency) and open up his shop where you can buy certain masks from him. That's right, the Happy Mask Salesman is reborn! He's a bit buggy rn, but mostly functional and still being worked on. Here are a couple of shots from the Plateau Shrines I took.Īnd of course, I can't go without mentioning the return of a particular new incarnation of an old classic: Temperatures also now differ in some shrines. About 25 shrines are done now- and the lighting in each is a little different so far. Shrines are also being updated with overhauled interiors, mostly to match the areas in which the shrines are located- they may also include some layout changes (new walls and doors) and altered puzzle elements. Now you will always fight the Blights before the Calamity, even if you've beaten their respective Beast.

The End Game Rebalance mod has also been integrated- making them a little more difficult. (Ignore the Moon, that's not part of SW! It's from my own playtesting sessions) I don't think the DLC armors can be upgraded just yet like in Rebalance though, but it's nice to be able to walk around in a differently colored Amiibo armor: Stals will now turn into the cursed skulls seen in the Divine Beasts and Hyrule Castle when defeated Chus now split into smaller Chus when you kill them more dyeable armors (including Amiibo and Expansion Pass) quality of life and some new content tweaks carried over from two other popular mods- Hyrule Rebalance and Survival of the Wild, including: Here's one of our other blacksmiths in action : I myself am planning out a Lynel blacksmith. Obviously, there's way more weapons than just the ones from the 4 Champion's home regions, and other kinds of blacksmiths are being implemented. Any character that can repair your champion's weapons now offers up the option to craft regional weapons some of which may be brand new, take Rohan for example. Instead, Blacksmiths are being implemented in various regions of the map.

There are still anvils scattered around Hyrule, but Link can only craft misc items at anvils now. Second Wind also takes the existing Crafting Project Beta and expands upon it. Being a playtester and quest planner on the project myself, even I don't know all the details in terms of what's in store for the main and side quests, but I do know that the main quest will focus on a brand new area, mostly untouched by Calamity Ganon's destruction 100 years ago, and there will be a focus on expanding upon the Yiga. It's a bit hard to knowing where to start with this. Second Wind, or SW, for short, will contain a wide range of new content, such as brand new main and side quests, new weapons and armours, new gameplay elements, some classic content (returning items, weapons and characters), and gameplay adjustments (difficulty adjustments, quality of life tweaks).

Its aim, hence the sub-subtitle "A Breath of the Wild Expansion" aims to act as a third dlc- think of it as a DLC-sized mod. I know we're all starving for more Breath of the Wild 2 news and content, and I think that this will help tide fans over. Right then, I've got the go-ahead to actually talk about this both from the project head and the forum mods, so I can stop vaguely mentioning it here and there.
